GIRLS IN POLITICS

 Nikki Haley has been making her rounds around social media because she has been getting "Trolled" by Donald Trump- one of the mates she is competing against in this years election. He has been making repeatedly posts about her and ugly, nasty things at that. This just shows have women have to work just twice has hard for even an once of respect. He constantly mocks her name, creates rumors and spreads misinformation regarding her.  \

 In honor of "Black History Month" coming to a close this post is to shed light onto an amazing woman who not only opened doors for black women and women of color in the White House, but she also helped women in media make a difference. Alice Dunnigan had showed up to the White House when President Harry S. Truman was in office and made her bright entrance for press conferences during this time, being the first black women to do so. To this day that room still stands fighting sexist racism and taking journalism by storm! 

This blog will Showcase women in politics in the media and their rise and fall in the media. When you think of politics you see men only when women play just as big of a part in conducting the same roles for the same positions.  Each week I will post a woman and her involvement in the social media world of politics. Politics have no gender so let us create a space where that is the focus of breaking generational curses. Not just politics but the aspects of how social media has helped these women raise their platforms and create a space that hasn't been mansplained and watered down.  I’ll give my opinions unbiased of what they have to offer for this realm of media. In this blog, I will also show how women contribute to the world behind the scenes as well as how the algorithm places women in media. The development of a new society in 2024!
